dBlog logo I’ve come to know yesterday that my italian pal Marlenek and the community he has gathered around it’s open source community fo developers of dBlog has made a new important step in the internationalization.

dBlog CMS is a open source Content Management System open source especially studied for people wanting to have their blog and which have hosting plans on IIS web servers, running over Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 or later, with support of ASP.

As the creator says:

“In 5 minutes it will be ready on the table! This is what I like to think about dBlog, CMS born with no pretentions but to be usefull for my personal blog, all in italian just for once. And instead… here I am, right after 3 years or so, creating a dedicated site in other languages! :)

A real sincere thanks to everybody that uses , to whoever wrote, notified bugs, gave advises and helped out. Have fun…”

So if you want to deploy a blog on your IIS server take a look at it!

There’s still some issues with the English translation in that the month names are still in Italian. I emailed the developed a couple of weeks ago and no response so the support for this software is very poor as well.

Having said that, it is easy to install and use and I suppose you’d be able to get support from the forums – if you were Italian…

I think I’ll have to look elsewhere for a solution.

    • Hi Rob!

The main developer has just had a baby … I don’t know if he’s alone or what developing dBlog nowadays … I’ll send him a note on IM (or twitter) and tell him about your request, ok ?

        Cheers! Thanks mate.

I didn’t mean to come across so negative. I do like the product – just wish it was in english. I have used fkeditor before in other websites and it is very good. It’s always interesting to see other developers implementations.

        Best regards

        Rob
