Perspective on iOS, a Keynote alternative

Perspective is a platform for exploring, creating, and sharing audiovisual stories. Today’s storytelling involves a mishmash of apps, websites, blog tools, and technologies. Perspective simplifies all this by combining the essential elements of storytelling into a single iPad App.
Some days ago I found this app for our beloved iOS devices which, at least from the screenshots, seems to be a real nice and effective alternative to Apple’s own Keynote.app. It’s called Perspective.
At the moment I do not have presentation to make in near future, so I’m writing this down as a self note reference. Do you have any real, hands-on experience with this software (or something similar)?

ProbCons, download your copy
In our Institute we are evaluating the Block Gibbs Sampler for RNA Prediction (RNAG) tool, running an instance on our server.
At the very start of the installation procedure I was lost since a required tool – probcons(1) – was nowhere to be found. It’s home page seems lost in the web and was uncertain if to contact its authors. So I decided to contact RNAG ones asking for help and they were kind enough to send me a copy (fast, and also they wrote to ProbCons’ authors notifying the problem!).
I’ve cleaned the archive file from their compiled executables, since they were not compatibles with some libraries in our 64bit CentOS 5.8 server, so that you too can compile a copy fully compliant with your system. So here’s the download link.

FUSE for OS X
I feared that Amith Singh‘s work with MacFuse was being completely abandoned, even if the usage of FUSE technology comes handy in many different ways.
Yesterday I’ve discovered that all is not lost and some people picked up the work, and the code, of MacFuse, and begun a brand new project: OSXfuse.
