With some other italian friends we are participating and collaborating to the Italian Linux Distro Network [ildn]. Recently the founding members of the initiative has built a real, legally recognized Association promoting the diffusion of Linux in Italy.

Sure, in Italy we have some movements, but many of them are seen as distant, old school, too pure in their hacker form. The success of the portals (1,000,000 hits at month circa) surely means there’s something going on.

One of the latest project at work is the collection and the cleaning of the SIX HUNDRED little how-to/guides produced by the portals in these two years under the wiki structure of ILDNpedia [I’ll put the link when it will be available to general public].

We have also an informal logo contest going on. This is what my friend Mufulone has submitted to us:

ILDNpedia contest

Really nice, isn’t it ?
